This might be a basic question however, I am trying to figure out what GAC_
dlls are. I am having problems with an application running on one device
and not on another and it appears one is missing GAC_ files.

GAC stands for Global Assembly Cache. I suggest googling to get more info
as it's a bit more complex than can be explained in a newsgroup post.
