Does the CF support using the SOCKS protocol?

Hi Mike,

The CF does not directly support SOCKS, but of course there would be no
reason why SOCKS support couldn't be built on top of the base networking
libraries. What are you looking to do with NetCF and SOCKS? I might be
able to track down some more detailed information for you...

Thanks,

I was looking to connect to a proxy server through SOCKS. When a client of
ours puts their user ID and pwd in the "SOCKS 5 ID" in the Networks
settings, they are able to browse the web. At the time I was having trouble
authenticating through their proxy server with code, so that's why I was
interested in SOCKS.
