Hi,

I have a bit of a puzzler. I have an app that doesn't appear to be
completely compatible with the new version of .net (V2 in general).
My user has an XDA Orbit and I would like to have it use V1. The
problem appears to be that it comes preinstalled with V2 and the msi
won't allow you to install an older version alongside v2. Is there
anyway to deal with this?

AFAIK, the XDA Orbit is a Windows Mobile 5.0 device so it won't have .NET CF
2.0 in ROM. Depending on how old the device is, it may have .NET CF 1.0 SP3
in ROM.

It's not strictly in ROM, but AIUI the installer is present in the
extended ROM and therefore installed automatically, even after a hard
reset.
