    - Sorting column headings I'm using the code below to display the results in rows with the column header as hyperlinks that will sort the rows by colum heading. Is there a way to have the results sorted (as default) in reverse order so that the most recent are at the top of the page also when the user selects the Open Date or Status column headings, sort the data in reverse order .     - Display multiple lines Hello, Can anybody give me some tips on the best and/or easiest way to display multiple lines in a field. The data is collected from a "textarea" field when the form is submitted, and I want to display all of the data (multiple lines) in a resulting HTML page. My goal was to first pull all the tournaments that a certai user has participated in. After I know all of these tournaments I nee to grab all members that played in each of these tournaments the calculate the stats on these tournaments. I also have an even bigger issue that I just gave up on as I could no figure it out. My goal was to calculate "owsies" on a per week basis Pretty much the function would have to pull all tournaments for th last week and figure out who owes what member what as well as cance out owes (ie: member 1 owes member 2 $20 and member 2 owes member 1 $1 then it should only report that member 1 owes $10 to member 2 for tha week.)     - Date Problem Hi I have one field in SQL Database datatype as datetime. When I am inserting or updating using asp on my machine its working fine but when I installed DB and application on other server and try to insert or update date using asp it giving error of date convertion. I know that its date format problem on one server it accept only "24/07/2004" format but on second server it accept as "07/24/2004" . As I don't know what will be date format on client server so this will be a problem.     - Writing out array values Please help me with this I have an array which has days of the month stored in it. For example at one time it might have the values 1,2,3,6,7,8,9 at another time it might have the value 4,5,12,14,19,25 These are days of the month that have been selected and read into an array.     - ASP Error Handling Dear all, this error handling has been a pain since so manya days using ASP 3.0 with IIS 5.0 on W2K server Created a custom error page using the Server.GetLastError() and works fine in most of the cases. Following are the issues : 1. Have a hughe file (5-6 mb approx) to upload, now if there are any errors during upload i want to immediately throw an error and roll back the transaction. 2. When the following error occurs, am not redirected to the custom error page bu the same is displayed on the same page. Error - Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e21' Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors. Check each OLE DB status value, if available. No work was done. is there a way to trap the above error using the Server.GetLastError on the custom error page Pls help...     - Calculation not working Hello, I am having a problem getting some code to calculate/work in an ASP page. In the snippet below I am collecting some data (inthours1 and intrate1) and then want to calculate a value (intsub1) to display on the page.     - checking record older than 2 years not working? Good day to you all I'm trying to see all the records in the database older than 2 years from today, and I can't seem to be getting it to go. SELECT * FROM comments WHERE (currentdate < 2002 - 07 - 20) ORDER BY currentdate I get null records returned, even though I can see some records as old as 1995. When I run the command like this however, it returns all the rows.     - code behind file not being refresh we're running IIS 5 and trying to do a simple update to a code behind file (Login.aspx.vb) we copy the file over to the server, but we're not seeing the updates. the server is still reporting errors on line numbers in the file that no longer exist. we've even stopped / restarted the service, with no luck. Instead of using cookies or sessionvariables make use of a sessionID and a
table.
